The first UK Lotto draw of the week took place last night and with a jackpot of just over £2.1 million on offer to win many players were hoping to strike lucky and become the latest UK Lotto jackpot winners. However, the UK Lotto results for Wednesday 6th May 2012 show that no players matched the six numbers drawn so the top prize rolls over to Saturday’s draw. Despite there being no jackpot winners there were 276,939 ticket holders that won a prize last night. Let’s take a look and see if you hold a winning UK Lotto ticket.
Latest UK National Lottery / Lotto Results for 9 June 2012
There were 14 players that won the UK Lotto second tier prize last night by matching five numbers along with the Bonus Ball, which meant that each walked away with £47,991. To add to that 223 players won £1,883 by matching five numbers, over 13,000 players matched four numbers to win £66 and then 262,884 players won £10, which is the smallest prize in the UK Lotto by matching three numbers.
Although none of the most often drawn numbers made it into the UK Lotto results last night there were two numbers which were drawn that are amongst those in the least often picked category. Both the numbers 20 and 41 are rarely drawn in the UK Lotto results and last night 41 made its 185th appearance and number 20 made its 169th.
This is the first time in three draws that the UK Lotto jackpot hasn’t been won, therefore for Saturday’s draw it is estimated at £6.5 million. Therefore, if you like the sound of matching the UK Lotto results and becoming the next jackpot winner in this lottery make sure you have your tickets ready for Saturday’s draw.
