The final UK Lotto draw of this month took place last night so players were hoping to strike lucky in the last draw of February 2013 and win the jackpot on offer. The UK Lotto results for Wednesday 27th February 2013 show that this was the case as two ticket holders matched the six numbers drawn to split the jackpot that was worth £1.9 million, meaning that each ticket holder took home just under £1 million.

These weren’t the only winners last night thought because just over 304,000 players matched at least three of the numbers drawn to win one of the UK Lotto prizes on offer. There were eight ticket holders who matched five numbers along with the Bonus Ball to scoop the second tier prize which was worth £75,411. To add to that 329 players matched five numbers to win £1,146 and then over 287,000 players matched three numbers to win £10. Lottery.co.uk provides a full prize breakdown from last night’s draw.
This wasn’t the only lottery taking place last night because also the Irish Lottery has its mid-week draw and although no players won the jackpot the numbers drawn make for some interesting statistics. The Irish Lottery results from last night were 2, 18, 19, 20, 21, 36 and the Bonus Ball was 27. As you can see from these results a consecutive quadruple set of numbers was drawn and this is the first time this particular quadruple has been drawn in the results. The next UK Lotto jackpot is estimated at £3.9 million and as the UK Lotto jackpot has now been won twice in a row in the question is, can any players make it three in a row in Saturday’s draw?
