UK Lotto Results for Wednesday 24th October 2012

The midweek UK Lotto draw was held last night, and as the previous three draws have all seen one lucky jackpot winner, there was a brand new jackpot on offer tonight. The jackpot was originally estimated at £2.2 million, but came in at £2,375,918 on the night. The increasing ticket sales and therefore increased jackpots are undoubtedly linked to the beginning of the Christmas period, as more players than usual are chancing their hand at becoming millionaires before the festive season starts! But was anyone lucky enough to scoop that jackpot today? We take a look.

This week there were two lucky jackpot winners who were able to match all six numbers in order to share that jackpot, taking home as they will £1,187,959 each. It may not be the biggest UK Lotto jackpot ever seen, but it is undoubtedly going to take the worry out of buying Christmas presents for the family this year! Congratulations to those winners.

A further seven ticket holders were able to match five and the Bonus Ball to take home the second tier prize which this week was £104,436, another respectable prize. Another 242 players will clearly be celebrating tonight too, as they scooped £1,888 each by matching five numbers. 12,311 players matched four numbers to win £81.00 and the remainder of the prize winners, a further 245,294 won that £10 match three prize. Check out the UK Lotto results page for a full breakdown of this and previous draws, on Lottery.co.uk.

In the meantime, this puts the weekend jackpot to an estimated £4 million, so players, if you want to be in with a chance of winning that jackpot, don’t forget to buy your tickets in plenty of time for the draw!
